Concealed Carry

Please bring a safe, fully operable handgun, 100 rounds of factory ammo (no reloaded ammo), hearing protection, eye protection, dominantside holster and sturdy belt or fanny pack or purse, Nebraska

Drivers License, and a case or shooting bag for handgun. It is also recommended that you wear a loose shirt or jacket for concealment exercises. No cross draw or shoulder holsters will be allowed.

Class will start at 8:00am and will run approximately 811 hours. Lunch will be provided at the classes hosted at Nebraska Shooters Range, but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

Due to the serious nature of the material being covered the instructor reserves the right to expel anyone from class at any time and one half of enrollment fee will be refunded. In the event that a student must reschedule, they will receive full credit for their payment and will be enrolled in the next available class. Please give as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule.

Approximately 75% of course will be in the classroom and will cover:

  • ways to avoid a criminal attack
  • safe handling of a handgun and ammunition
  • proper storage practices
  • Shooting fundamentals
  • knowledge of federal, state, and local laws pertaining to the purchase, ownership, possession, and use of a handgun.

Students will also demonstrate competency in handling and shooting a handgun through drawing and firing drills, precision firing drills, decision making(shoot/no shoot) drills. The qualification course will consist of shooting 30 rounds at varying distances (3ft to 21ft) with a score of 70% or better.

The target will be a standard FBI “Q” target.

Students must also meet the requirements set forth by Nebraska and Federal laws to own a handgun.
